Job Purpose and Impact

The Inventory Coordinator will work closely with production and cross functions to optimize supply resources to ensure product availability. You will collaborate across supply chain and supply and demand to balance inventory among plants to deliver a sustainable competitive advantage for the company.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with supply chain management and plant manager to drive master production scheduling process.
  • Create feasible production schedules, considering constraint such as line capacity, labor, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks and planned productivity downtime to ensure costs meet the customer and order fulfillment requirements.
  • Optimizes production and inventory levels to deliver the demand plan.
  • Work with internal parties and contractors to coordinate shipping activities while following quality and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate the location training processes.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP knowledge
