Job Purpose and Impact

The Species Product Line Manager will design and implement a comprehensive product marketing cycle across multiple species in conjunction with commercial and category leaders to develop Annual Operating Plans. In this role, you will identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, define promotional activities and handle product through phase out.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop Annual Operating Plans across multiple species to drive incremental growth in product lines in collaboration with commercial and category leaders
  • Prepare and coordinate product introductions and updates.
  • Compile and evaluate research on market product requirements and identify enhancements to current features and functionality.
  • Act as a project lead in collaboration with manufacturing, sales, and marketing groups to align marketing initiatives to commercial execution
  • Coordinate program planning with customers to identify manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs and similar considerations.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer and channel priorities to develop comprehensive strategic plans leading to product line growth
  • Plan, organize and coordinate assigned programs to accomplish financial and budgetary goals.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or technical or equivalent experience in commercial livestock
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in both French and English (verbal and written)
  • Beef, Poultry, Pork species working knowledge
  • Advance proficiency in MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Tableau or Power BI or similar data visualization systems work experience
  • Product launch project management experience
