Reporting into the Security Manager, the Security Supervisor's primary responsibilities will be the management and administration of the Security Management System and components as well as overseeing Security staff during day-to-day operations. The Security Supervisor will also play a key compliance oversight role.
 
Role and Responsibilities
 
SMS:
  • Managing, configuring, modifying and operating High Park’s Security Management System (SMS):
  • CCVE - cameras, servers, switches, Access Controls - card readers, controllers,
  • Genetec Program; and intrusion System - contact sensors, lR sensors, and Burglar Panels
  • Ensuring monthly Component Checks of all SMS and physical security components and stores documentation for future review
  • Coordinating repairs of malfunctioning security components
  • Liaising between all Tilray Departments (including Security, lT, Facilities, and Production) to schedule and coordinate system outages, which will have the least impact on production related operations
  • Maintaining all documents related to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance outages, ensuring that the outages are in compliance with Health Canada standards (with outage justifications) and available for auditing upon inspection. For emergency outages, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating outages with onsite Security personnel to ensure protocols are adhered to
  • Coordinating with Tilray lT Department on all applicable hardware and software changes to the SMS
  • Ensuring reported access errors are document for Health Canadas review. All documentation is to be saved in the company file share drive in the Security folder for review and auditing
  • Identifying developmental opportunities (training and courses) to ensure proficiency in the operation of new and existing technical security components
  • Providing assistance to the lT Department to maintain regulatory compliance and adherence to standard operating procedures, including assisting on SMS outages to ensure Health Canada standards are adhered to
  • Maintaining and managing Facility Access Level documentation, ensuring Genetec is programmed to match the approved access documentation
  • Updating the SMS to reflect hardware and physical security changes made to the Facility
  • Liaising with the alarm monitoring company on all aspects of the Facility's intrusion System, including maintenance and changes to burglar panels, and documentation related to intrusion partitions and zones
Training
  • Guidance document creation and revision
  • SOP creation and revision
  • Policy creation and revision
  • Ensuring training related to the above documentation takes place and applicable documentation is completed
Health Canada:
  • Assisting with Health Canada in inspections relating to Security by providing:
  • Access Level Document
  • Production Access Log (Temporary Card assignments)
  • Room entry Logs (Room Logs)
  • Vault Documentation
  • Planned and unplanned video outage documentation
  • Intrusion testing
  • Reviews of camera coverage
  • Assisting in responding to Health Canada inspection observations by formulating and executing the response plan while adhering to the proposed timelines
Staffing:
  • Ensuring that the Security schedule is maintained
  • Assisting in the hiring process of new security staff
  • Supervising staff on a day to day basis ensuring focus remains on the Safety and Security of the staff and property, Professionalism, and adhering to the regulations of Health Canada
  • Conducting annual employee evaluations providing feedback to improve development in areas of need and reinforce development in areas of strength
Human Resources:
  • Assists with, or delegates security personnel to assist with employee terminations as scheduled by Human Resources
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must possess a strong technical background in Security Management Systems, or related systems
  • Access Controls, CCVE, and intrusion Systems
  • Technical training or integrator certification for High Park’s Access Controls (Genetec) and CCVE
  • Systems (Genetec) is an asset
  • A thorough understanding of integrated intrusion Systems and intrusion related components (contacts, lR sensors, etc.) is required
  • A thorough understanding of the Security regulations set out by Health Canada
  • Must have a valid Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Must possess proficient administrative skills to adequately draft technical reports and proposals.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications
  • Must have the ability to obtain A/RPIC status as per Health Canada
