General Labourer, Production Associate

The General Laborer, Production Associate is responsible for the routine coolant management of all CNC equipment and for completing a variety of tasks related to the production process, including cleaning and assisting machine operators and other workers. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working team player with a positive attitude, willing to learn, and willing to do whatever it takes to support our company’s mission.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- CNC machine coolant management and coolant-related equipment checks
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Daily Crane Inspection
- Daily Forklift Inspection
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment, manually or using powered equipment
- Loading and unloading materials, products or equipment from shelves or storage areas.
- Assist machine operators and other workers.
- Other tasks as directed from time to time
- Follow all health and safety regulations, and commitment to maintain a safe work environment. Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors about tasks and potential issues.
Skills & Experience
- Mechanically inclined (auto repair or maintenance type of skills).
- Commitment to quality and safety.
- Able to adhere to all safety policies and promote safe work practices.
- Work effectively in a team setting.
- Quick learner and able to listen and follow directions.
- Basic numeracy skills and able to perform basic math.
- Experience using cordless or pneumatic hand tools.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour.
- Maintain a quick and steady pace throughout your work shift.
- Good interpersonal skills, and communication, both verbal and written.
- Reliable.
Qualification Requirement
- A high school qualification or equivalent.
- Valid G divers license
- Willingness to undertake training if necessary.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would also be an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 44 per week
