We are seeking a Machinist/Assembler to join our dynamic team in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment at our Strathroy location. Autotube is a Tier 1 fluid transfer component manufacturing company, trusted by the automotive industry for almost 50 years.
Hiring for Day Shift (Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm), No Rotating Shifts!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble machines and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Build new tooling or fixtures from blueprints, CAD files, or verbal instructions.
- Operate tool room equipment: mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws, etc.
- Troubleshoot tooling failures and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Participate in machinery commissioning, debugging, and adjustments.
- Modify existing tooling to support engineering changes or quality improvements.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production departments to support continuous improvement.
- Follow and promote all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of critical tool components and spare parts.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience working with a CNC Mill and Lathe.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiar with precision measurement and machining practices (Calipers, micrometers, etc)
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Assets:
- Experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement.
- CNC programming experience.
- Basic understanding of PLCs or automation troubleshooting.
