Job Summary

Bosco and Roxy’s is rapidly expanding and is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Employee Trainer to lead our Learning & Development efforts. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Employee Trainer assesses needs, analyzes gaps, researches best practices, and partners with Human Resources and Production management to identify, develop and implement successful and innovative learning and development programs. Develops and implements program processes and procedures, maintains records and tracks outcomes. The goal as the Employee Trainer will be to conduct meaningful and informative training sessions, support efficiencies, and refine the skills of all our Bosco and Roxy Team Members.

The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with the ability to effectively describe complicated ideas to different audiences. S/he will be highly organized, proficient in time management, and possess excellent public speaking skills.

Job Duties (General):

  • Conduct inter-departmental needs assessment to determine training needs.
  • Plan, build and implement an effective training curriculum for Bosco and Roxy’s many departments (develop content, build presentations, etc.)
  • Create and maintain e-learning/training programs that drive business outcomes for all lines of business.
  • Work with the management team to build a training program to coach and mentor our supervisors in leadership and supervising techniques.
  • Develops training manuals, training procedures, and training course materials.
  • Implement training course modules as assigned for team members and management, including presentation and facilitation of training programs and activities.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques such as direct instruction, role playing, simulation, team exercise, group discussion, video, or hands-on exercises.
  • Partner with all departments to identify and address opportunities for improvement and best practices/strategies to address training & development needs.
  • Oversee and direct workshops as well as individual training sessions.
  • Administer mandatory exams and records results.
  • Maintain accurate training records.
  • Ensure compliance by auditing training records regularly.
  • Work within set training budgets.
  • Collect feedback and data to measure progress and effectiveness of training programs.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to adjust strategies as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related/relevant discipline
  • Ability to develop and deliver programs for all levels of management and team members.
  • Deep knowledge of instructional design methodologies, performance strategies, processes, and standards
  • Impressive communication (speaking, reading and writing), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Training in Forklift, First/Aid CPR and JHSC an asset
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a teaching/training role
  • Solid knowledge of the latest corporate training techniques
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish is considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
