STARTING RATE: $17.00/hour

Summary Description:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of a growing team working in a
fast-paced production environment. This key member of the Equals team will focus on operating and
maintaining the production equipment on the canning line while supporting other packaging and brewery
operations as required. We are looking for a hard-working, safety-oriented, and quality-focused individual
to join our team.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of industrial controls and automations, previous manufacturing experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience with running packaging equipment including high-speed rotation equipment and/or packer experience
  • Have a mechanical aptitude and proven ability to understand how machines and production equipment work and how to troubleshoot when needed
  • Have a desire to learn new techniques, skills, and processes
  • Desire to take ownership of the process and ability to follow and develop a consistent procedure
  • A self-starter that is looking for opportunities to improve and maintain the workplace safety
  • A safety-oriented individual who limits unnecessary risk taking and focused on minimal impact to the environment when considering operations

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of packaging beer. This includes setting up materials, setting up equipment, operating packaging equipment, and troubleshooting abnormalities
  • Working with the team to develop policies and procedures for packaging operations
  • Assist with the cleaning of all packaging equipment and surrounding areas
  • Performing quality inspections of primary and secondary packaging throughout the production process
  • Ensures efficient operations of the packaging equipment and supports the team to problem solve when deviations occur
  • Troubleshooting equipment when lines go down or defects are occurring
  • Participates in the training and development of other packaging operators on policies and procedures
  • Performing weekly preventative maintenance, safety checks, and lubrication routines
  • Supporting the other departments as required including shipping and receiving and brewing operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:
  • Forklift Operating License is considered an asset. This role will require the successful individual to obtain this license upon hire.
Working Conditions:
  • The nature of the role may require non-traditional working hours and weekends shifts
  • Working in a production warehouse
  • Ability to lift 60lbs on a frequent basis
