Operations Technology Manufacturing Engineering

Key focus:

  • Lead and assist with the continuous improvement and development of Starlim manufacturing processes;
  • Support the technical team in analyzing injection molding issues;
  • Competent contact person for IT questions for operations technology department (Master user).

We require a team member who will be responsible for:

  • Systematic analysis of the injection molding process and identification of improvement opportunities
  • In collaboration with SSA technical departments identify strategies to optimize processes and equipment for injection molding of silicone parts
  • Form and lead cross functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Project management of improvement projects
  • Sustaining Engineering production related
  • Contact /resource for technical problems that can not be solved by OTA and OTS alone
  • Early involvement and support for program/tool transfers to SNA
  • Master user OT
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager
  • Assist in analysis of manufacturing processes by using systems such as authentic, measurement data systems, and Minitab                
  • Support 8D process for manufacturing related issues
  • Creation of presentations (opportunities and project status updates), test protocols and reports to key stakeholders
  • Input to PFMEA as required
  • Perform some duties of OT in his/her absence related to technical issues
  • Communicates effectively through all levels of the organization
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained                 .

 

Do you have?

  • Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering diploma or degree
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience
  • LSR or Thermoplastic Injection Molding in an Engineering capacity preferably in the automotive industry
  • Oriented to a manufacturing organization

 

Successful candidate will also have:

  • Understanding of LSR and Plastic Material properties
  • Understanding of LSR and Plastic Mold design
  • Must be able to travel throughout North America and Europe as required
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels throughout the organization
  • Excellent technical understanding; manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Understanding of SQE tools (8D, FMEA, DFMEA, DOE, APQP, DVP&R, DFMA etc.)
  • Proficiency is Microsoft Office programs like Word, PowerPoint, excel plus Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD
