Product Management Intern

The Product Management Intern will assist the Product Management Team with new product launches, product lifecycle management, and process improvement. These responsibilities require strong analytical skills, creativity, and cross-functional teamwork.

What you will do!

• Process Improvement
  • Assist with developing tools to automate research and collateral development – knowledge of Python or other programming languages would be an asset.
  • Develop and maintain new processes for the Product Management team to improve team efficiency.
  • Work with other departments to identify opportunities for better cross-functional collaboration.
• Research and Data Analysis
  • Assist the Product Management team in the decision-making process by providing data-driven insights.
  • Provide recommendations for promotional, pricing, and program opportunities based on data insights.
  • Maintain competitive information and Identify trends and new product segments.
• Product/Portfolio Management
  • Assist Product Management Team and New Product Development Teams on various activities within new product launch and development projects.
  • Own key portions of the product set-up process (eg: Product information sheet execution)
  • Assist Marketing with new product collateral proofing
  • Identify opportunities for profitability improvements
  • Analyze brand portfolio metrics
  • Interact with domestic and international manufacturing facilities

What you will bring!

• Registered in a business or commerce co-op program at an Ontario accredited university or college.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python would be an asset
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• High degree of initiative, motivation, and willingness to work proactively, either independently or within a team
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience gathering and accurately recording test data. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, & MS Powerpoint.
