Junior Controls Designer

We are currently looking for a team-oriented Junior Controls Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting with the electrical development of automated machine solutions.

Responsibilities of the Junior Controls Designer:

  • Design schematics for automated machinery
  • Provide input to the Controls team
  • Specify and order electrical components for associated schematics
  • Attend all project-related meetings (kick-off meetings, design reviews, wrap-ups)
  • Collaborate with Controls and Electrical teams to set goals and manage project performance
  • Develop electrical design packages, schematics, panel layouts, wiring, and bill of materials (BOM)

Education, Skills and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or robotics and automation, or relevant experience.
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to conceptualize and create solutions for complex design requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
